Playback stops before end of video

I'm playing 1920 x 1080 MP4 files in VLC 2.0.6. But the final position displayed is a few frames before the end. (It's a zoom out to fully black so is easy to check.) The files play OK in all other players I've tried.

Please update to v2.0.7 or use a v2.1.0 nightly build.

Thanks, but 2.07 doesn't fix the problem.

Here's a very small MP4 example. It plays correctly in all other players, finishing with an all black screen. But in VLC 2.0.7 here it finishes with a small circle still showing.

TBH it's very subtle but could you try a v2.1.0 nightly build and report back if it occurs with this version as well ?

Where do I get that and how can I do so without losing 2.07?

There: nightly builds.

It's possible but not very easy. But considering the v2.0.x series have reached the end of their development and v2.1.0 will be the next release, you may already want to check the behaviour of the upcoming version :)

Hello,

I know this is an old topic, but I searched around and couldn't find any answer to this question.

I've run into this exact same problem with my mp4 videos. I'm using VLC 3.0.8 Vetinari and windows 10.

This is not really a problem, but it's annoying when I have videos that stop at 99%, just a few frames before 100%.

Anyone else still experiencing this small issue? And has anyone found a solution to it?
