Reset VLC preferences:
http://wiki.videolan.org/Reset_prefs

If it doesn't help then delete the whole %appdata%\vlc folder.

Hello, same as frankieglam, message vlc has crashed, then "do you want to send an error message" no facility for sending message. I had deleted VLC and downloaded from home site and softonic, 3 times, each time I try to open the new download I get the same message. Any help appreciated as I now don't have VLC on my computer
