Goom Visualisation Not Working

Hi,

When I try the Goom visualisation, I find that there is a lot of lagging (it sometimes takes several seconds or more to update the visualisation at all on the screen). Other visualisations (and videos) play fine.

What puzzles me is that I used the Goom visualisation a couple of years ago with an older version of VLC on the same PC (same hardware as now) and Goom visualisations played absolutely fine.

I am currently using VLC Media Player 2.0.6 (portable) on Windows XP SP 3.

Is there any way to get the Goom visualisation to play correctly?

It might have been fixed in v2.1.0, so you can try a nightly build.

So is the Goom visualisation problem a known issue with VLC 2.0.6? Any idea when version 2.1.0 is likely to be officially released to the public?
