Okie! real simple i downloaded some anime and the subs were left as external video files zipped u can exstract the subtitle files no problem but i do not know how to open the subtitles with vlc while playing the movie


The first person that says you goto video then subtitles track n choose one im gunna hit thanx for your time guys :lol:

Basic Problem:
External subtitle files
How Do i play with the video or how do i hardcore them into the file.
If it dont work get a better computer!

you seem to have the ram and the cpu power to do it but the only thing i could think of is thate the settings are not going right i would recomend changing them and going from their.

goto video then subtitles track n choose one you can make one setting like this and it will be right and work and you can do one like that and will not work and not be right.

two things
one- there are a few ways to open files in vlc player. the only one that has the subtitles option is from the player (not the playlist) select open file, not the quick option.

from this window you select the file, and the check subtitle options, then browse for the subtilte file.



now, i am about 50% on getting this to work, many times there is no audio, if the subtitles work, closing and restarting vlc won't fix it, in fact all my audio (winamp etc goes) only a windows reboot will finish closing vlc and let me try again.

all the audio comes back. (winamp) and then i try the subtitle video again, like i said about 50%
