Ptoblem playing a stream

Postby jimbir » 23 May 2013 21:00

I received an email with a video attached. When I tried to play it I received the following message:

The address wasn't understood
Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because the protocol (rtsp) isn't associated with any program.
You might need to install other software to open this address.

A Google search turned up how to configure VLC to play these files. I installed VLC and the VLC web plugin 2.0.6.0 for Firefox (ver. 21). I followed the configuration instructions but, the only way it works is with a clumsy copy and paste of the the video URL into VLC. Can someone help me figure out how to get this working?

Thanks. Jim B.
If it weren't for Velcro, I'd lose my mind.
