VLC 'cropping' video/audio upon play

Postby enjikari » 17 May 2013 20:24

VLC users. Seems VLC cuts off the first and last .5 second of any video/song I play. Ex: if I have a short video of someone saying "Hey my name is Greg" all I ever see/hear is "y my name is Gr". Is this a settings issue, or does anyone else experience this with VLC? I don't want a different video player, I want to resolve this issue, if it can be resolved. Some notes:

1) Yes, this works with every audio/video files I have. It's not one file specific.
2) This issue does not occur if I play the same video/audio in another player (Windows Media Player).
3) I've heard of players using fade-in/fade-out, but my issue isn't fades: the video/audio abruptly starts and ends.

Known issue which should be fixed in VLC 2.1.0. You can try a nightly build.
