Hello.
I'm trying to watch Lord of the rings the two towers on my PC using VLC 2.0.6 (I have been able to watch Fellowship of the ring and return of the king with no problem using the bluray discs and the keydb files with VLC with no issues) but when watching the two towers I'm getting no sound.
Changing audiotracks works for 3-6 but they are commentaries by Peter Jackson and rest of crew. Audiotrack 1-2 doesn't work at all.
I tried playing the bluray disc on my PS3 to see if it the disc was the issue but it works fine there.

Any idea what could be the issue?

If PC specs are needed:
i5 2500k
8gb ram
GTX 670 as display device.

How do I do this? Sorry I'm not very used to having problems with VLC.

Is the audio codec MLP ? If so then try with previous VLC version 2.0.5.
Use MediaInfo for checking.

For the logs open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Edit: I tried VLC 2.0.5 but it didnt work either.

So, the issue is an AC3 track?

I don't know, is it? I'm sorry but im not very good at these kind of things so I'm not really sure what the issue is that causes the no-sound thing.

I have the exact same problem with the exactly same disk!
