VLC and FLAC format

Postby Ghoy » 14 Apr 2013 11:51

Hi, I have a small problem while playing FLAC files in VLC player,
the problem is that I cannot use the timeline bar to skip ahead in a track, instead if I try to play the track at let's say 1 minute it just automatically starts playing the track back from the start.

To be more specific, this happens when I convert a stream to a Flac audio format, it's saved as a .ps file which is fine, but when playing this file in VCL player I can't get around the mentioned problem.

I'm using the VLC media player 2.0.5 version,

Any help is appreciated, thx.

Flac into PS can hardly be qualified as "fine". The container is not thought for that. You should really consider another container that allow you to seek like ogg or matroska.
