How do you play a CD in MONO?

My amp has developed a fault - only 1 track is working. Just need soldering...but, until I can afford to get it done, as a workaround, I would like to play CDs back in MONO - so that I can still hear everything.

Is there any way to do this?

I have looked under AUDIO -> CHANNELS and al I can see are the following...

STEREO
LEFT
RIGHT
REVERSE STEREO

Is there a way to convert the output to MONO (so that both the left and right channels come through both the left and right speakers on my headphones?

No. There is already a feature request for this but no developers has volunteered to implement it.

Hi, speaker configuration doesn't help?
If you have selected the default audio output module or DirectX, then you can select in:
Audio->Output modules->DirectX: Speaker configuration=Mono.
I think it does the trick.

Thanks :)
A few questions, though....

"If you have selected the default audio output module or DirectX"

How do you do this?

The options I have under Audio are as follows....

Audio track
Audio channel
Audio Device
___________
Visualisations
___________
Increase volume
Decrease volume
Mute

Thanks :)

I mean within preferences:
Tools->Preferences->(tick) Show Settings All->Audio->Output Modules->DirectX->Speaker configuration:Mono.
