wrong colors in png-screenshot

hi everybody!

when i do a screenshot in png-mode, the colors are wrong. jpg works fine, but is not useful because of the strong compression.

when i press the screenshot-button, the preview picture is ok, but when i open the png-file, the colors are wrong.

it´s an AVI file saved by a frame grabber.

This was my problem as well. A preliminary google search has turned up nearly 100 of similar threads across nearly a decade.

The issue was that the blue and red color channels are being swapped (you can see the change from a blue tint to a red tint in OP's screenshots).

I used a python script to swap them back but this is ridiculous.

Why isn't this fixed yet?

For further detail, this happens whenever using FRAPS true RGB footage. It plays perfectly fine in video but framegrabs/screenshots turn up with the color channels swapped.
