VLC freezes playing looped DVD

Bug report

VLC freezes while playing the second repetition of a simple 5 second looped DVD (single JPG with zoom). Same with versions 2.00, 2.01 and 2.04 (I don't seem to still have 2.03).

Played OK in MPC-HC, KM Player, PowerDVD.

I tried playing in VLC from the DVD folder and from VIDEO_TS.IFO, with same result.

I reported this in videohelp.com and another user reproduced the problem with his own test DVD:
"It seems to be VLC's bug, not a Magix problem, I replicated this problem with DVD created with DVDLabPro also. 5s clip."

Because there are hundreds of bugs with various difficulties and we are a team. So if we want this bug to not be forgotten, there are not many choices...

You sure don't make it easy to help you improve the program! I'm ready to give up, as I've gone through the hoops of registering on the reporting site AND seeking and getting 'email verification' etc, and yet I'm STILL not being permitted to file my bug report.

No choice, do you imagine the amount of spam we get?

People are volunteers, working on their free time, if you want your bug fixed, you need to prepare the work for it...
