Interrupts while playing audio

Postby gypsycomp » 17 Mar 2013 00:51

I have what seems like a 1/4 to 1/2 second interrupt every 30-45 seconds while playing audio music stored on hard drive.
Interrupt doe snot occur when using MS Windows Media Player
I have the sense it does not appear to be fully streaming music from HD, like a buffer is going empty and it stalls while buffer is refilled.

Anyone have any idea why I would be having this interrupt?

SYSTEM:
xp, sp3
e8500 cpu
4gb ram
music is on wd1002 - 1tb drive
using sys sound module on gigabyte G41M-ES2H

Please try VLC nightly builds with DirectX audio output.

I downloaded the latest videolan nightly build as you suggested. Using 7zip, which is unable to unpack.
