VLC 2.0.5. Twoflower - trouble playing most video content

Postby Broccolidwarf » 16 Feb 2013 13:51

Hi there

I am a long time VLC user, and have always favoured it, because it always seemed to be the best performing player, with the least issues playing most any type video content.

However, I just bought a new laptop, and after installing the newest version of VLC on it, I am having extreme difficulties getting a smooth performance with most types of video content.... this is not just HD related, it is most any file.

I have tried the normal fixes, playing around with output type, x264 settings, etc., but nothings seems to make a difference.... it keeps have issues with lag, pixelation, etc.... and it is virtually impossible to play any video content without it being very "lumpy".

It's a brand new Packard Bell Easynote TV11CM, with:
OS: Windows 8 (64-bit)
Processor: AMD 46-4400M APU with Radeon HD Graphics 2.70 GHz
8 GB RAM

Any help/advice you guys can give me, will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
