Help requested with VLC conversion of .mxg file

Thanks very much for your help with this .mxg file conversion question....Does someone know proper VLC settings to convert .mxg file to either .mov or .avi file. VLC reads/plays test .mxg file, but fails to 'convert/save' to create .avi or .mov file. Receivef this error message: http://www.tejashummer.com/VLC_error.JPG.
