VLC is unable to play specific .mkv files

Postby Keneshiro » 09 Jan 2013 03:14

Hi guys, recently I tried to run some .mkv files from a series and found that only a specific few could not be run. VLC would freeze and just default to normal ie as if I didn't run a video file. I've prepared the bug statement/debug from the messages section and was wondering how to post it. Also, I am unsure if it is because of the video files. As such, I apologise if I made a mistake.

Use VLC 2.0.6 from nightly builds.

Alrighties. It's still not running. Do I just post the report here? Or do I send it as an attachment to someone?

You can begin with verbose logs :

Tools->Messages (or Ctrl+m) set verbosity to 2 and start playback.

I tweaked around. Turns out the file was corrupted. My bad. So sorry for bothering >.<
