Programme title not showing up watching DVB-T in VLC 2.x

Hi all,

I hope somebody can point me in the right direction. I'm not sure this is a bug, but I've had this issue ever since VLC jumped to the 2.x release. I've just tested the nightly builds, and it's still not working.

Before, in VLC 1.1.11 I could watch DVB-T, press the "t" shortcut, and you would get the title of the programme currently playing, plus the start and end time. Example shown below. Under VLC 2.0.5, I don't get any text anymore. Just the timebar that shows how far you are in the programme.

I haven't changed anything to my playlist with the DVB-T channels. So is this a bug, or just a setting that I haven't figured out?

Many thanks!
Midas

Porbably a bug, report it. Does it show in the info dialog?

Hi JB,

If you mean the media information window, yes, the info shows up under "now playing" (screenshot below). Also, the EPG guide is up-to-date, so VLC knows all the info it should display.
I just understand why this was working in VLC 1.x, and not in 2.x anymore. A lot of the old code must have been ditched.

Anyway, let me know if you feel I should file a bug report for this.

Cdt,
Midas
