How do I remove VLC plugin from firefox?

I don't want it there, I don't need it, it doesn't respect my settings for what I don't want it to play when clicked, and even disabling it doesn't disable it.

But there is no option to remove it.

I have actually removed it manually now, but I would like to know the proper way, if there is one. And if there isn't, I suggest one is added.

Go to "Firefox/Addons/Plugins" and "Disable" it.
It works for me.
You can also uncheck it on VLC installation.
