Pixelation in Screen Caps

I'm trying to create screen caps from MKV videos that are in the following format: 720p.WEB.DL.DD5.1.H.264. I'm having problems with either stuttering during play, or pixelation in the captures. I've tried to tweak a few settings based on some advise I've seen on the web (I'm not very tech-savvy  ) and I can eliminate one problem, but not both at the same time.

I'm running Windows 7 on 64 Bit 2 core system, if that's of any help. I would appreciate suggestions on adjustments I can make to have the video play smoothly AND be able to make high quality screen captures. Thanks.

Try another video output module:

And/or disable/enable GPU acceleration:

You can also try to enable or disable some video options such as Overlay and/or Hardware YUV -> RGB conversions.
