Hi,

Do someone know what silent parameter for vlc is? (with language selection).

I have tried:
vlc-2.0.4-win32.exe language=da /S
vlc-2.0.4-win32.exe language=de /S
vlc-2.0.4-win32.exe language=fe /S

But don't work, can someone please help here?

And as i also have read, then you can also use :
vlc-2.0.4-win32.exe l=de /S
vlc-2.0.4-win32.exe l=1033 /S

But that also din't work, and if it worked with ID, how would i know language id for the other languages?

And every time i install English language manually it install my language Danish/dansk, Why??

vlc-2.0.4-win32.exe /L=1034 /S worked for me on Windows 7 64 bits.

Beware, maybe it take its time to make the installation?

If you search something like "code language 1033", you can arrive at something like this (http://www.science.co.il/language/locale-codes.asp)

Hope it helps

Hi,
VLC v 2.1.3: It seems like the install parameters /L=1033 for English, /L=1043 for Dutch, /L=1036 for French do not longer work?
Is there another way to select the desired menu interface language, maybe a parameter in the VLCrc , or a registry value?
I'm using Windows 7 64bit

Windows VLC takes the language from the configuration panel regional settings.

Indeed, it does. But in former versions you could override this behavior with the install parameter /L=...., and in version 2.1.3 this no longer works. (I used /S /NCRC /L=1043 for dutch e.g;)

Found a workaround :) : following registry value is changed when you change the menu language in the preferences:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VideoLAN\VLC\Lang REG_SZ nl
(or fr or en ...)
