Using Mosaic

Hi. I am trying to set up Mosaic using this tutorial: http://wiki.videolan.org/Mosaic

The steps are a bit confusing so can someone please confirm:

1. Do I need a background image?
2. Do I save the configuration file as a .txt file and name it "vlm.conf"?
3. Do I place the configuration file in the folder "C:\Program Diles (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC"?
4. What do I run from the command line to run VLC and use the configuration file? This is 'not recognized': ./vlc --color -I telnet --vlm-conf --mosaic-width=360 --mosaic-height=288 --mosaic-keep-picture --mosaic-rows=2 --mosaic-cols=2 --mosaic-position=1 --mosaic-order=1,2,3,4 ../mosaic.vlm.conf --ttl 12 --udp-caching 800

You posted this question almost 2 years ago. Have you gotten any replay? What did you end up doing?

I'm doing this on a Mac, not on a Windows machine but I am using the same tutorial and running into the same types of problems.
