Hello friends. I haven't had problems with VLC from years. And i never install codec packs. But... from now at version 2.0.3 (32 bit) and fresh fully updated Windows 7 Ultimate x64 OS i have big problem. Here is example pics of artifacts with quadres. If i use snapshot from VLC Media Player the output pictures have not artifacts, they are missing. Which means that only screen display show me artifacts. How can i fix this or may be you can fix this bug?

No! It can't. I change it from default to DirectX (DirectDraw), apply (save), restart the player, and still have the same artifacts. :? Also i disabled the "YUV -> RGB".
What to do now?

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com if it's too long.

Also upload a short sample of a problematic file to either http://streams.videolan.org/upload/ or to EmbedUpload.com, so it will upload the file for you to several other hosts, and then post the link to the file here.

Here is log

I have already uploaded video earlier for friends, because they wanted to try too.
Here is video

Look, there is unexpected process with my OS - i am thinking that i was install Windows 7 without SP1, later SP1 come as update! Because maybe i was get wrong DVD. But before SP1 and after SP1 these artefacts are staying to VLC.
My computer have another one player QuickTime and i always do reboot between installations. I haven't any problems with VLC + QuickTime until now. If you can find the problem, it will be great to know the reason. :roll:

Deativate overlay or RGB-YUV conversion in VLC video options

Even with that, it should not give the look that happens on the first post.

That looks like a driver issue to me. Maybe the default VGA driver and its 16-bit color mode is being used for some reason. Or some wrong setting (dither, range output) in the drivers configuration.

Maybe YUV->RGB hardware conversions.

Hello friends. I fix this. Before i always get automatically kind of ATI VGA video driver! But now it looks that update process does not work for some reason and i see only stupid "VGA adapter". And it use 32 bits color mode. I install my video driver, i was sure in this fix, and the problem is gone. After look in device manager there is only my video driver now.
Thanks a lot people. :wink:
