it always recording one default channel(and not the one i'm watching now).
i just want to push the record button and that vlc will record what i'm watchnig, and not the default one
thanks!
Yes you can, but not easilyif i record the whole channels at once(the default behavior of VLC), can i seperate them later, easily, to a different files(each channel to one file of it's own)?
No, you can record the whole transport stream with all channels or only one program.can i record for example 3 channels at once(not the whole channels i have) and in the same time, VLC will make 3 different files for each channel ?
VLC will record the channel you are watching at if you use the "--no-input-record-native" parameter or if you disable the "Prefer native stream recording" option as explained before.the SID(or PID) is the name of the channel in the Playback -> Program, menu?

this i understood before(in your previous answer to me ).VLC will record the channel you are watching at if you use the "--no-input-record-native" parameter or if you disable the "Prefer native stream recording" option as explained before.
tsMuxeR:maybe a link or a program that can do that?
It should. Check the logs to be sure about that.i just want to know if the name i see in the menu in VLC - Playback -> Program, is the PID?
Not with the record button.also, can i record channel which i don't watch?
Just try it yourself ?if i record the channel i watch, and then switch to another channel, will the recording will "follow" me to my watching channel, or it will continue recording the same channel i have started to record?
