Setup selects default folder

I have installed VLC on another partition.
When installing the update, setup wans to install on C: in some default folder.
One way or the other the setup does not seem to detect a previous install, so it
does not offer to install over and into the existing folder (at least, not with me)
Should I post this one as a feature request?
