VLC crashing on Windows 8

Hello, since i didn't find any thread related to this i thought i'd make one.

I installed Win8 RC yesterday and somehow VLC crashes whenever i try to open a video.

Since i figured there might be something wrong with the installation i deinstalled and reinstalled it. After that VLC could play the video, but only once. When i tried to play it a second time (or a second video) it crashed again.

Does anybody have similar problems with windows 8?

I agree VLC is unstable on Windows 8.
I only tested my builds (win32/win64 vlc-2.0-git vlc.git) on VirtualBox, not on real machine on Windows 8.
I couldn't catch the reason why VLC suddenly crashed. gdb didn't help.

The issue is not VLC, but your graphic drivers.

I had the same issue, uninstalled the latest VLC and tried couple of older versions.

vlc-1.1.9 works fine.

On Windows 8, you should use 2.0.3
