VLC Doesn't seem to see my USB TV Tuner

I got a dual HD DVB-T USB TV Tuner T1680B installed, and with software it comes with, Total Media Player, its works fine, so its all setup correct and antenna all good, however Total Media Player is awful software and I prefer to use VLC Player 2.0.1 like with any other video, etc.

I open Capture Device from VLC, only options I get are DirectShow, TV (Digital) and Desktop.

I tried DirectShow, and the only options I get from Video is Default or None. So I try Default and only get a muted black screen.

I've also tried TV (Digital) and get nothing there also.

I also uninstalled and reinstalled VLC Player in a hope it might pick up some new devices but no change.

I'm clueless now, any ideas?

Make sure the latest BDA drivers for your device are installed.

I got mine working, updating drivers had nothing to do with it.

I just selected TV (Digital), DVB-T, and selected the correct frequency for my city.

If you don't know your frequencies you will have to google them.

It is a little complicated for a novice PC User, but its nice now to be able to pause/resume Live TV.
