VLC menu: Tools > Preferences > (Show settings - All) > Video:
[ ] Embedded video
[ ] Window decorations
I cannot move it on the screen. It is stuck in top-left corner.

What do you mean by that? I tried starting vlc withvlc --qt-minimal-view

Tried his method and just like him, it's a small window stuck in the upper-left corner.Try what Mederi suggested.
