What Is The Format For "Subtitle auto-detection paths"

I am running VLC "2.0.2 Twoflower" on XP SP3.

Usually, I get subtitle files in one of two folders - either "subs" or "subtitles". These are the usual names of the sub-folders - the parent folder contains the video file.

So I want to tell VLC to always look in either the "subs" or "subtitles" folder for the subtitles file. But VLC only loads the subtitle if I specify only one path. (Of course, VLC always loads the subtitle if it is in the same folder as the video file, but I want to keep the subtitles separate.)

In the field "Subtitle auto-detection paths" in "Tools, Preferences, Subtitles/OSD", I have tried entering (and then saving) "subs subtitles", "subs, subtitles", "subs ; subtitles" and probably a few others!

Please can you tell me the syntax for entering multiple paths to subtitles.

Regards,

Fred.

"subs" or "subtitles" should work in 2.0.2

Strange - I could have sworn I'd replied already to this topic!

Anyway, thanks for the replies and, yes, "subs, subtitles" in "Tools, Preferences, Subtitles/OSD" works.
