VLC disables my screensaver even when I uncheck the box.

I started having problems with my screensaver not working and I realized that it was being caused by VLC. I went in under the Video preferences and I unchecked the box that says to disable the screensaver.

However, VLC continues to block my screensaver whenever it is open. If I close VLC, my screensaver comes on with no problem.

Why is it disabling my screensaver even after I unchecked the box and restarted my computer?

I leave my laptop on 24-7 and I leave VLC open 24-7 since I have entire series of shows on my playlist and I just watch bits here and there. If I close VLC, I lose my place in what I was watching. But I need my screen saver to come on since I leave my computer up all the time.

I have the same issue with VLC 2.0.1 on Vista OS. If it weren't for this, VLC would be my default player.

Updated to 2.0.2, and the issue remains. Is there a way I could fix this through changing registry settings directly?

This is a bug.
