I have downloaded the vlc-2.0.1.tar.xz (16.4 MB)

what I do next??

This is a Bitzipper file, how can I unzip it if I don't have the Bitzipper?

You don't "install" the source code, the source code needs to be compiled.

Are you sure you're not looking for binaries instead ?

I am not sure what I really need.

This is my problem:
I try to connect to a real time webcam which requires the VLC 2.0.1 (I have it already) and the webcam operator recommends to download the Latest version of the source code which (according to him) is in this page

http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-sources.html

what should I do?

in this link Lotesdelere recommended earlier, http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html
which one is the binary?

please be a little more specific because my knowledge is rather limited.
