Windows 7 taskbar is displayed in fullscreen

With the latest VLC 2.0 series the windows 7 taskbar is displayed while watching a movie in fullscreen. How do I disable this?

Well, unlocking and then re-locking the taskbar works for me.
Alt-tabbing to another full screen application, and then switching back to VLC works also works for me.
But from the thread you gave me I can understand that this is a long time problem, and the root of the problem is not yet solved.
I can only say it would adorn VLC if the devs could come up with a lasting solution. Maybe they should take another look into it
