can't see any videos(only audio) on vlc 2.0.1

hi guyz,
i have this problem as soon as i updated from vlc 1.1.9 to 2.0.1 in my win xp 32bit pc.
audio files are working fine but none of my videos(all formats) are working only i can listen voice of those videos.
i ve tried to reinstall but the same problem still persists.

plz reply immediately......

Use DirectX video output module

Was really pleased to find this posting and fix for VLC 2.0.1 as I had the exact same issue, but no problem with older version. The Direct X preference worked for me. Using Win XP, SP3 on old PC. Thanks.
