Disable mouse wheel changing volume

So I know this thread has been dragging on way to long, but I would just like to request that a preference be created that allows you to change and or disable the use of the mouse wheel.

In my situation I would like to disable both time seeking and audio volume. I use a macbook pro and occasionally inadvertently time seek with the trackpad. it gets annoying.

Thanks to the developers for considering my request and i look forward to the next version on vlc

I have to agree with a lot of the people here, Greate softwear!!!!!
But the mouse weel set to scroll time steps in movie, was the best thing with it.
Nice to see a fellow from umeå trying to fix a patch for it and scary to see how a dev acts when trying to set up arguments... or where you even trying!?
