vlc can't even handle music in ubuntu - it hangs the whole os, requiring a hard reset. Seems no other media player does this.
It's only worth fixing this in windows, because using vlc in ubuntu (on my pc) almost guarantees requirement of a hard reset, so I wouldn't use it.

AGAIN, VLC cannot crash or freeze your OS. Buggy driverrs, OS bugs or broken hardware does that.
