output a logo via transcode does work because of this?

Postby ChrisCz » 19 Jul 2006 16:21

hey all, hey dionoea,

because I just played around with vlc (0.8.5 janus) as an encoder on the fly, transcoding seems to work fine. As I wanted to encode a logo and a marquee right into the output-avi, I tried:

vlc --sub-filter marq:logo --marq-marque 'Hello World' --marq-position 6 \
--logo-file logo.png --logo-position 6 \
--sout '#transcode{venc=ffmpeg,vfilter=logo,vcodec=xvid,vb=200,acodec=mp3,ab=32,channels=1,audio-sync}:std{access=file,mux=avi,url="/tmp/test.avi"}' Movie.avi vlc:quit -I dummy

Now found this thread in the vlc-forum. As far as I understand, the logo filter is a version 1 filter type, which can't be used in transcode.

Or am I wrong and "logo&transcode" is possible? :?

ThX in advance,

Chris

Sorry for my last overhasty post.

I forgot the sfilter=logo in #transcode. Now it works. ;-)
