Movies are skipping when watched over the network

when i watch a movie that is shared in my network (the movie is saved on a different computer and is shared over my network) the movie is skipping when i watch it with VLC.. would anyone know how can i modify my VLC so it wont be skipping...

ps. i am using win xp pro on both pcs

Maybe increasing --file-caching.

or reducing resolution (size).

well im using 54mpbs network.. so i believe thats enough bandwidth... but how can i try to increase my --file-catching?
