saving stream as it is

Postby xplane » 03 Jan 2007 14:22

How can I save an av-stream as it is (without any transcoding) ?

I want to grab a audio/video-stream of the recent coldplay-concert in canada:

mms://streaming.arnet.com.ar/C22O11L06D_548

When i try to record the stream to an mpeg-ts file without any transcoding it stops with an exception about wma2... (cannot add this stream) !?

When i use transcoding (f.e. MPEG4 for video and audio) it seems to work, but in the beginning of the recorded video there are a lot of gray pixels surrounding the "clock on the stage". I think the transcoder doesn't know the exact pixel-dimensions of the frame, because the video begins with very dark scene !?

It`s easy just check in Outputs "File" fill in "Filelename" and check "Dum raw input".
