ATI TVWonder 650 Green Bar Problem

Postby wellssd » 10 Dec 2006 04:16

Hello,

I'm hoping someone here can help. I've been working on a problem for about two weeks. I'd like to use VLC to capture from my ATI TVWonder 650 TV tuner card. I've only got one problem... no matter what I try, I have a green bar along the bottom of the screen. It covers about the bottom 1/4 of the screen. The actual video is displayed, and in the correct aspect ratio, but I believe VLC is unable to determine what the exact resolution is, and believing the the video is bigger than it actually is, the resulting display has the green bar.

By the way, I'm running VLC 0.8.5 on Windows XP SP2. Any other information needed, I'll gladly supply.

Or I could be totally wrong. Any help or suggestions would be greatly apprecaited...

Thanks,

Scott

bottom 1/4 of the screen? wow.

I suspect you're correct, as I had similar problems with an older all-in-wonder card (but it was only a couple of green lines, not inches of green). Try setting the video size manually in Preferences/Input Codecs/Access Modules/Direct show/Video Size.
