Windows Media Video 9 support allready present in 0.8.5?

Postby PictureThis » 10 Dec 2006 23:00

Thank you developers for all the hard work!! Your player has really earned its place on my desktop and every time I'm always curious about new features in the next version! I'm a bit puzzled though. My old version 0.8.5 played Windows Media Video 9 videos without any problem (e.g. CNN video) so I don't understand the 0.8.6 support for Windows Media Video 9?? I tried several videos, all encoded with WMV3 and it worked fine under 0.8.5 as well. Can anyone explain? :?

That used the windows components and was therefore windows only. Now we have a native Open Source decoder (works for all platforms)
Don't use PMs for support questions.
