use libvlc to create a server w/o window

Postby cioris » 17 Nov 2006 23:11

Did anybody try to run VLC on windows but without the interface? How can I deactivate the graphical interface in windows - to run like in Linux - command prompt only?

What I would like to do is to use libvlc.dll to create a new application doing just streaming. This application should be an OS service, so no UI is required.

Where can I find the API for streaming? Do we have such a support in .dll?

Thanks,
cioris
