Problems with encoding

Postby nadzz » 10 May 2006 09:58

Hi,
I have some mp4 format files. When I try to stream them and encode with h264(or even anyother) the file is streamed and saved only for three seconds. I have tried different Kbs but no good. I am using windows 2000 and not a very fast pc.
Please can anybody tell me what could be the problem?
Thanx

VLC 0.8.5 final has been released and is available on the main page.

This applies to transcoding or streaming MP4, DivX or XviD formats.

The fps=<frame rate> or the command line equivalent must be the same as the source video or it will not appear work and this must also be manually inserted if you are using the options menu (Stream Output) or added to the command line. If you still have questions open the Messages window before you start encoding as it will tell you where you are screwing up! :P
