VLC player makes extra window for video

hi guys, i have a problem, back in the days my vlc player played the videos in one vlc player, like this http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/4923 ... nnt8mb.jpg , but since a few hours, i really dont know why , he plays them ike that http://img418.imageshack.us/img418/8918 ... nnt7ai.jpg , my question is now, what i have to do, that he plays them like before, everything in one window, not a seperate one, i tried all settings, maybe the wrong but i found no help

Settings - Preferences - Interface - General - wxWidgets - uncheck "Embed video in interface" - Save and restart.

VLC 0.8.5
Settings - Preferences - Interface - Main interfaces - wxWidgets - uncheck "Embed video in interface" - Save and restart.
