1080p Blu-Ray Movie Disc Playback: Please Help

Postby chane » 09 Dec 2024 23:04

I've heard it said that VLC can be enabled to do this with pressed 1080p BD movie discs, which is all that I have in my collection. No 4K BDs, and I have no interest at all in doing any ripping, burning, etc.

I want to use VLC to play my BDs, output the video via HDMI to my TV and the audio via USB to my stereo DAC.

But I hope that the enabling steps are easy because I am NOT a coder.

Please help.

Thank you.

Thanks, but I can't follow those steps. I should have mentioned that I am NOT a coder.

Again, I have no need or interest in ripping BDs. And I have no problem with propriety software, but with Redfox gone can you say how reliable this solution is for 1080p BD movie playback on VLC and JRiver? https://www.dvdfab.cn/passkey-for-blu-ray.htm

with Redfox gone

The best is to check the dedicated threads about that:
