Perplexing issue in accessing shared folders on network

Postby Riderintherain » 21 Nov 2024 09:59

I encountered a perplexing issue when trying to access some shared folders on my Windows 11 pc from my android phone (both are on the same local network).

After I clicked on browsing and then the relevant computer, the shared folders would correctly show up, but then a message would pop up that says "there is a bug in this program and you should wait for the developer to correct it." Vlc would then crash.

However, if I acted fast enough and clicked on the folder I wanted to access before vlc crashes, all would be fine. I could access the files in the folder with no problem. Isn't this strange?

Another point: my phone is connected to my local network via wifi. This issue would not come up if I tried to access the shared folders from another wired device (such as Google TV).

Perhaps someone could look into this.
