When turning off the HDR switch of Windows 11 and switching the HDR Output Mode in VLC to Auto, playing the video is also a black screen.
The output log has no content for some reason. I only specified the output file name, and everything else was set by default.

The configuration was reset, and only AMD VQ Enhancer was enabled, then the video could be played normally.
However, if the video output module was changed from Auto to Direct3D11, there would be no image when playing the video.

It is now working properly, but I can't find any content related to AMD VQ Enhancer in the log. How can I confirm if this filter is being used?

I think the issue is not the filter itself but how it's activated. From the advanced preferences, it should be enabled in the "Video" > "Filters" panel. But when it's enabled that way it adds a "d3d11_filters" video filter to the command line, when in fact it should add amf_vqenhancer. If you set it manually, it should work.

Hi, I understand VLC being free software, but I haven't found a single user on the Internet making this filter work. I managed to have it appeared but it still doesn't upscale.
Is this a real feature? Is there any place where I can get more information? If I manually type in amf_vqenhancer, which I assume is "amd_vqenhancer", or "amd_vq_enhancer", or "amd", it doesn't still work.
This would be honestly quite a life changing feature for me and I assume many others. Thank you for any input
