Windows metadata column "Encoded by" is empty

VLC will display which encoder was used to create my MP4 movie (right-click, Tools, Media Information, Encoded by) and is see either Laf or HandBrake. I need to identify which of my movies were encoded by my older app (HandBrake is better) so I can replace them but I don't want to look movie by movie.

Yet when I open my Windows 10 Explorer to my MP4 folders and add the metadata column "Encoded by" the column is always empty. How does VLC display the information when Windows doesn't? Is there some other way to get Windows (10 or 11) to display the "Encoded by" information on a convenient list?

Update: I used a disk editor to view the MP4 files. That "Encoded by" data (Lavf or Handbrake with version info) is tacked onto the end of each movies' file yet without the "Encoded by" identifier. Apparently that's why Windows Explorer doesn't display it?

I'm not a specialist of the MP4 header but I guess VLC reads one tag/atom when Explorer reads another one.
It wouldn't surprise me if this atom is Apple/QuickTime specific so Microsoft Windows ignores it.
