VLC media player always showing the same text in top left corner

Postby RedSharpEye » 22 Jul 2024 11:26

Hi,

I am running version 3.0.20 Vetinari on windows 10 pro OS. I don't have any other OS's so cannot hand and heart say if this question is not windows specific. Let me know if it needs to be moved to anther location.

Whenever i play a mp4 file using VLC there is some this boilerplate text in the top left corner "Sun Path 22 May" If I play the same file on a different player the text is not there.

Does anyone know how I remove the text?

I have tried tools-preferences-subtitle/OSD and deseltected enable onscreen display and show media title on video start but that has not removed the boilerplate text. I have now run out of ideas and hoping that someone might know what to do.

Kind regards

Red

Reset the preferences and cache (the manual way) and try again:

If it doesn't help then it's another software doing it.
