audio show entire playlist

Postby audiotyke » 14 Apr 2024 23:59

I play a large audio playlist.
I used to have a really simply scrollable list of (single line) titles, making it easy to click one to change the play sequence.
With the recent VLC I suddenly have a very large picture of a CD cover, and a list of the first few items, taking 4 lines each, really slow to scroll.

I'm sure there must be a way to get the classic simple list without the spurious picture (mostly a large question mark) but I simply can't find it.
Am I missing some 'View' possibility, or is there another way to get the simple interface?

With apologies if I've missed something blatantly obvious.

You can resize the left part of the playlist with the mouse.

Hmm. Yes thanks, but that only goes halfway, and the list remains inaccessible, with an unnecessary icon, and spread over 4 lines

For now I've fixed this with a sledgehammer - I've gone back to v2.2.5 - but I'd still appreciate a way to make the up-to-date version behave.
