Converting an old DVD

Postby ristretto6 » 29 Aug 2023 01:48

I have an old DVD with a video I'd like to digitize. Here is the file structure when I open the DVD drive in File Explorer (see screenshot).Image

I've tried using the Media-->Convert-->Disc option in VLC, but the resulting video doesn't play smoothly and the audio cuts in and out, even though when I play the file directly from the DVD the tracking and audio are fine.

Any ideas for how to get this file digitized/ripped, either with our without VLC?

Thank you!

About ripping:

But ripping might be easier with Handbrake:
