VLC video recording

VLC isn't consistent in where it writes the files, and partly because there is no way to know that VLC is recording. Easily 95% of the time I hit the record button and end up with nothing. Either it's not recording or the files are landing somewhere super-secret.

When recording a video, VLC uses the default Videos folder of the OS. Usually C:\Users\<UserName>\Videos or %userprofile%\Videos
