What is your graphics card ?
What is drive I: ? A network drive ? An USB drive ?

Drive I is internal hard disk (I have 3: C, I, J)

What I do is extract screenshots from video.
I've done that for many years with no problem, except for last few weeks.
I play video and when I want a screenshot, I pause video, toggle subtitles off, make video fullscreen, take screenshot, toggle subtitles on, press play.
Then often, not always, only the audio restart while the video stay frozen.
Sometimes, both audio and video stay frozen, stop does nothing, and I have to do ctrl-alt-del to end the task

VLC is now unusable for me,
every pause or backward shift must be followed by ctrl-alt-del ... end task then restart ...
I'm done with VLC (and I still don't know why the problem)

I've tried with a few AV1 in MKV files I have and I couldn't reproduce the issue.
